Opening Doors Transforming Lives Unlocking Potential Since 1997
The Gentry House, Inc. is a community-based nonprofit committed to the promotion of housing stability and economic mobility among vulnerable families and individuals of Calloway County.
COVID-19 Pandemic Response
We are aware that many people in our community are suffering as a result of shutdowns and quarantines in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Gentry House has joined with MCC Homeless Coalition to make sure we are doing all we can to help members of Calloway County stay in their homes. Together, we are able to provide rent/mortgage assistance as well as increase the available funds for other types of emergency assistance.
Providing shelter to families who have lost their housing and face compounding barriers to housing stability. Transitional housing solves an immediate need for these families in crisis — a safe living situation.
Providing ongoing support to low income households to promote housing retention and continued self-sufficiency through case-management, financial literacy training, and career readiness workshops.
Providing emergency assistance to families in Calloway County who have found themselves without a safety net and are in need of a little extra help to take care of their family or even get back and forth to work for the week.
